About Pigeon Park Pigeon Park is a Vancouver based rock band with strokes of blues, funk, and reggae painted into their sound. For two years the band has been putting their heart and soul into making a name for themselves in the downtown scene. This summer, the band heads across this vast land on a Canada wide tour to also record a brand new full length album. The band’s powerfully captivating music promises to remind you of music from a different time.
In addition to having played multiple stints at the majority of Vancouver’s venues like The Roxy, The Yale and The Red Room, Pigeon Park often performs with charities and non-profit organizations. In December 2009, they played at the HMV on Robson and Burrard and helped raise over 200 dollars for the Salvation Army. Their fan base is constantly growing from show to show. On April 20th 2010 Pigeon Park was given a rare opportunity to play the 420 rally at the Vancouver Art Gallery, performing to a crowd of over a thousand.
With inspiration flowing from groups like Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Black Crowes, the band has crafted a sound that can only be described as their own. After a sellout CD release show at The Roxy last Fall, Pigeon Park continued in the studio with two new tracks in 2010. The band has plans to expand nationally this August, with shows booked between Vancouver and Toronto for a Canada wide tour.
Pigeon Park prides themselves on their live performances and explosive on-stage chemistry that the entire band shares with the audience. In a time where technology has replaced soul, Pigeon Park promises to return you to a time where music was driven by the heart.
